Icicles on a rhododendron...

Been another cold day in Seattle. Roads still covered in ice but I got to the store today. Only one main road has been plowed. All the secondary roads haven't been yet so they were packed with snow / ice. I'll be attempting to make it to work in the morning and if the conditions don't allow, I be staying a few days in the truck. If I don't blip for a few days, that is why. As I write this, 35 hummingbirds are in the backyard. Sadly one didn't survive the record breaking low temperatures last night. Wish there was more places for them to go. My mom will be taking care of them when I am gone. Planning when the temps get warmer to lower the amount of food available - This is unsustainable and unnatural (including the weather). Hopefully they will be well and I wish I could do more....
