An icy walk along the lake

Today there was sun and blue sky and just a light dusting of more snow.    Not so much snow, really. but it’s so cold it won’t melt.      We just couldn’t find a covid test we could get to  (we live on the bottom of a very big hill up to where we could have gone for a PCR)   SO we didn’t take the car out, but got the yaktrax on and took a walk.   Good for the soul today.   Did not even THINK about slipping!   :-)   Got the procedure at the hospital scheduled later tomorrow so will go early and get a rapid test and that will have to do. 

Extra is more view of the lake and snow…the top left is how all the roads except major ones look…all ice.  Sidewalks too.   The cold will be here all week and more snow predicted for thursday.  Lots of shops closed.   

I only scheduled one thing to do over the holidays with the granddaughters …bought tickets for the ZooLanterns, a beautiful light display of silk animal lanterns at the zoo.  Well, it’s closed today because of the weather!   A disappointment.   Just one more thing not going so well…..
