The Love of Reading

I have read all my life both as a child and adult.  I read everyday to the children I taught and still have a selection of picture books I couldn't part with when I retired.  This morning as his Mum and Dad were packing the car we kept Finn occupied.  The forester took this on his phone and it is the moment it records not the quality of the photo that makes it my blip.  That is raindrops on the window and the garden loved that drink.   
Our friends from around the corner came and met Finn.  We had Christmas cake and cheese again.  They like it too.  It was special for them to met Finn because they have a grand daughter who lives in Sweden and is a week older than Finn and of course they haven't met her yet.  We tossed up about inviting them because we are so lucky to have Finn in the same country and they have videos and zoom and photos. Maybe in 2022 they will be able to fly there. Tomorrow there will be a blip without Finn.  We have had a quiet afternoon and tonight we are helping ourselves to leftovers in the fridge.  Tomorrow the forester and the lovely daughter are going fishing.
