NOTHING BUT DARK SKIES DO I SEE

We took Mum home today.  I think she's had a nice time.  It's been very tiring and a bit stressful but good as well.

Typically after all the foggy and cloudy days today has been a mix of sunshine and cloud.

After ensuring Mum was OK and having a coffee we headed straight home.  We did stop off on The Prom as usual for me to take a photo.  Today amongst the blue skies there were really dark oens over The laje Distric and Grange can be picked out bathing in sunsgie but with very dark clouds overhead, so I thought it would make a lovely photo.

Now for the rest of the day, and tomorrow, I am just going to relax.  I'm going to start of by watching Maigret, the original with Rupert Davies that I had for Christmas (thank you G).  It's the whole series and will involve many hours of joyful watching.   Not that I remember it very well really because I would only have been about 9 when it started, but I know it encouraged me in later years to read all the Georges Simenon Maigret books.

So one of those a day for a few days followed by reading some of the books I got for Christmas.  Then I will start going out on my own again with the camera and doing some photography studying as I've got very behind and want to be in a good position for when AYWMC 2 starts in January.

I have to say I'm a little disappointed that England aren't following the rest of the UK with the covid restrictions - it makes me feel that we are being used as guinea pigs.  It's just the thought of sooo many people gathering together inside that worries me, you know large events.  Still to be fair it won't affect me too much as I had no plans for News Year Eve anyway and it is good for businesses.

I am a little concerned about the talk of easing restrictions completely once Omicron is better managed as I truly believe that will make for a huge influx in new cases and illnesses again.  I so hope I'm wrong.  Still again, personally I will continue to wear masks, sanitise and avoid crowded places, both inside and out for the foreseeable future.  So I'd better get any holidays (only in the UK anyway) that I want before they are listed.

Do take care and stay safe all of you.

See you all tomorrow
