Country in mourning

We have lost a truly wonderful man. Archbishop Desmond Tutu has been a shining example of strength, humility and joy. This book has a treasured place on my bookcase, filled with wisdom and humour.
The purple Heliotrope is a memory of his favourite colour, purple. The Cape Town city hall and Table Mountain are lit every evening with purple lighting in his memory.
RIP Archbishop Tutu.
On a lighter note, our two lovely grandsons, Talbot and Matt and Emma, Talbot's girlfriend visited us today - they are from Cape Town, staying in Plett for a few days.
How special to see these young people and hear about their daily lives - and of course we had so many laughs. One really appreciates youngsters taking time (three hour car journey each way) to visit their grandparents.
