In Waterloo...
there's this statue/monument in front of St Joseph's Church. I have no idea what it is or what it stands for, but I like it.
At it's base it says 'le risque de mort fut leur pain quotidien' which means 'the risk of death was their daily bread'. So I guess it's something to do with either the Battle of Waterloo, or the World War. I've looked on google but can't find anything about it.
I also like the strange looking trees behind it, and as I was working today I decided this should be my blip - I hope you like it too!
Alan's out tonight - his Boss and one of his colleagues are over from the US together with colleagues from the London office, so they're out for the night. So a quiet night in for me with a glass of wine.
I've started editing my 365 book and have seen that some of my written text is too big, so I need to go through each entry and crop the long ones slightly before I make my order. This may take a while to do, so I apologise in advance if I don't manage to comment on all of your journals - normal order will be resumed soon :-)
Right, I'd better get on with it - hope you're having a nice evening, the weekend is nearly here!
