Grey Heron

I went down to the beach on barrier #4 between Burray and South Ronaldsay. Amazingly mild day. Lots of birds but very mobile due to the number of lolloping dogs. There were turnstones, purple sandpipers, snipe, curlew, hen harrier, long-tailed duck, stonechats, reed buntings, Slavonian grebe, great northern diver etc etc. Extra is not a fogbow, as I thought, but a sun halo.
