2557. Owl Brooch

My lovely sister in Australia sent me this US made silver owl brooch for Christmas. The tag said it was circa 1940. I absolutely love it as it’s so unusual.

I was appalled today after meeting a friend for coffee in my local Wetherspoons that they’re not insisting on people completing Test and Trace…no 1m distancing and no enforcement of the max 3 households per table. We gave up and left once we realised we couldn’t sit far enough apart. On the bus on the way home there were three teenagers with no masks laughing and shouting….I sat as far away from them as I could.

And there’s been 130,000 new infections today….I truly despair….it’s never going to end….
