Ancient oaks...

My (not quite so old) brother, Claire & I visited Dalkeith Country Park today to have a look at the (very) old oaks. They are classed as ancient oaks (400 + years old) and are thought to be the last remnant of the ancient forest of the Lothians dating from C12th or before.
