Afternoon Rays

Given the sodden ground and overnight forecast for more rain, I opted to give golf a miss and enjoy a lie in; I’m glad I did as half an hour after our regular start time, they decided to close the course so I avoided a wasted trip.

Instead we spent the morning doing a bit more post-Christmas sorting, shopped for a few food bits for the next couple of days, then walked over to our friends’ house to pick up the latest post and water a few indoor plants.

This was the view from their terrace in the back garden as the sun made a brief appearance from behind the clouds.
