Totally delicious curry for dinner, and I’m glad they talked Mr B into their local beer - it was very fine.

Early start this morning for the long drive south. Several crashes on the M40 (not us) delayed matters, and several stops to top up the coolant didn’t help. But now we are safely in a very lovely rented house a mere stone’s throw from a couple of sets of pals who (negative tests permitting) we will see tomorrow. There will be one notable absentee who has an unlucky and ill-timed bout of covid.
