Freeze

The three of them. Having fun, no bickering. 
They all headed off for the walk without too much prompting. No threats were necessary. 
In the afternoon Finn played football with his cousin Leo and it was energetic good fun, without any descent into indoor hysteria. 
They all ate a fair amount of food, and tons of Christmas treats-shite. 
Luca even did a practice run for the French oral exam in the new year (far too soon for his level of preparation...) 
We played Skyjo after dinner and there was a good bit of laughter. 
We watched old Tommy Tiernan stuff on YouTube, on the big TV. And there was much laughter. Too much perhaps. Now Finn has a headache and his fecken eedjit Dad forgot the bottle of Calpol. Finn spat half a glass of water onto his pillow while trying (without success) to swallow half a Panadol tablet. 
The headache is now gone anyway. 
And one cannot die from sleeping with one's head on a damp pillow. 

Today was a good day.
