En route

We called in at Le Train Bleu in the Gare de Lyon for a very expensive drink with added blipportunity. It's very glamorous! Edit: and sharper in large :)

It was another long day. A gave us a lift to Darlington station at 7:30 a.m., before it was even light, and we rolled up to our front door at 1 a.m. French time. As soon as we got out of the car, a yowling black silhouette sprang from the shadows. Very happy to see us, he spent the night curled up on the bed, making sure he was in contact with me at all times.

Once again it all went smoothly -- amazing! After our quick antigen test, we had time for a nice lunch on the terrace at Carluccio's in St Pancras. The most time-consuming bit was border control for boarding the Eurostar. A slow-moving queue of people had to present four pieces of paperwork each to French immigration. In case it's useful for anyone, you need passport, Covid vaccination pass, negative test result, and the French equivalent of the Passenger Locator Form.

And now we have to stay at home for at least two days before getting another test. No objection to that from Mystère, who has now glued himself to my lap.
