Just Good Friends?

We had a bit of jam packed day!

We visited WWT Martin Mere this morning. It wasn't a promising start with rain and grey skies. It did brightened up later courtesy of that huge great glowing orb in the sky, I think it's called the sun?

We were surprised to see so many lapwings on the wetland who were periodically spooked by a trio of march harriers. Towards the end of our visit we spotted this single redshank feeding on the shoreline, surrounded by a variety of duck species.

We then visited my other half's family in Preston.

When we returned home we decided to go out for tea - a curry.
