Clapper Bridge Dartmoor

Another fun packed day started off with a trip out to Dartmeet, river was so high and flowing so fast all the hard-core kayakers were out in force. We did have a walking route planned but with all the water it took us ages to pick our way round the mud and boulders - we got to our first clapper Bridge and crossed in style (see blip) the second was underwater so we had to reverse back but very enjoyable nonetheless

In the afternoon we headed out to Buckfastleigh to try and get some food, the South Devon Railway let us down - place was deserted definitely wandered into a locals pub and left pretty sharpish. Local organic shop luckily had coffee and chocolate.

Late afternoon we finished the day on the local steam train from Buckfastleigh to Totnes the last train out for the day. Loved the sights, sound and smell. Home for food.
