"the uninspired blip"

Reconciliation: Stephen Broadbent

I blipped this sculpture not knowing anything about it . . . until I "googled" it!

Liverpool, notoriously, played a significant role in the slave trade; the triangular route of the "trade" has been well documented . . . Apparently, there are two identical sculptures to this one; sited at the "points of the triangle". One is in Benin, Africa and the other is in Richmond. Virginia, USA. This aptly titled sculpture will have a very different significance to me now. Perhaps, another element to "blipping" is one of learning and appreciation of the subjects we photograph.

Keep Blipping!
