Art or incompetence?

Taken from the car door where we'd stopped on the road to Moffat and home.  It may attempt to convey the mystery of the landscape, or maybe the speed of travel; in fact it was taken when a gust of wind took me by surprise and I only just missed dropping the phone in a puddle.
