One Hundred and Eighty!!!

Most of the Dutch players are now out due to testing positive for COVID, including Raymond van Barneveld and Michael van Gerwen, but there are still a couple in the tournament and they have a good chance of advancing further.  AW has been following the games from the beginning, and has the television on even while he's playing bridge, and tonight it was regional bridge online.  His regular partner did not show up, and didn't even leave word, so someone else whose partner did a no-show teamed up with AW.  It doesn't always work out like that, though.

The main 'job' today was the supermarket, and for the first time in years, I 1) used a regular cart, 2) filled it to the brim, literally, and 3) checked out through a cashier instead of using the self-scan.  I recognized her as the lovely lady from Wales.  She speaks perfect Dutch but for a very slight accent.  After check-out, piled everything back into the cart, rolled it to the parking area, and spent 10 minutes unloading the stuff into two large pre-prepared carton crates on the backseat.  Back home, carried it all inside, and then AW and I had some fun filling up the re-installed shelves under the stairs, accompanied by another non-stop non-commercial Latin music channel.  Puffed out upstairs while AW put dinner together.  A very sleepy day, wet and grey outside, followed by a really lovely evening.
