I thought these new little crocus bulbs just starting to grow, despite being rained on almost every day since I planted them, was a good sign. The chicken wire across the top was to stop the squirrels digging them up and eating them - and it’ll stay there for a while to stop the pigeons eating the new shoots. ‘Hope’fully I’ll blip them again when they’re flowering.
