Wound up in Wexford

Wash your face

This morning dawned dry, and when I went down to make the morning cuppa, there was a lovely red sky in the east.  I nipped into the garden in slippers and dressing gown, and it was a rather lovely crisp but not really cold morning (see extra).  However, half an hour later, as we were drinking our tea/coffee in bed, the rain started again, and continued on and off for much of the day.

After breakfast, I set to and made the second cracker - looks much better, but maybe just a little TOO snug - difficult to put back together.  But that's it for this year.  I may make more for next year.

Then a trip to the farm shop, during which I received a phone call - "we've left all our toiletries with G's parents - can you pick up some toothbrushes, please?"  So an unscheduled visit to the pharmacy, where I also scored two packs of lateral flow tests.

Once home, a very late lunch, and as we were finishing off, the family arrived.  And as you might expect, it was non-stop from then until bed time.

At bath time, Robin asked to have a shower - only a year ago, he hated this form of ablution.  This evening, when told he needed to wash his face and offered a sponge, this was his answer!
