Canniesburn Hospital

This building was once the world renowned Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit.
As the building is listed when the hospital was relocated to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary it was redeveloped into flats.
Jackson Place is so called after the famous Prof. Ian Jackson who was well known in Glasgow. ?Him and his wife adopted a young Peruvian boy who
had lost the centre of his face due to infection. ?Prof Jackson reconstructed his face and their story featured in several documentaries.
