Tiles
A visit to Winchester this afternoon. We spent a while looking around the Cathedral (the tiles are from the floor) and then wandered up to the Great Hall where the Round Table (a replica I think) is housed. We didn’t pay the admission to see that (not worth the money), but Paul then took us on a mystery tour up to the Peninsular Barracks, which is a set of buildings on the site of the old castle in Winchester. It’s now privately owned - four large buildings housing many posh flats, set around landscaped gardens and fountains (see extra). It was a beautifully tranquil setting and there would be amazing views from the apartments as it was up so high.
Watched Little Women in the evening, which was good but a little confusing with all the chopping between time frames. We also finally ate the Christmas pudding - yum!
