5th Day of Christmas.  

Less wet and slightly warmer than yesterday, so cycled to the pool and swam. Rain showers in the afternoon; we walked anyhow. 

The mountain highways into the Sierras have reopened (though with chain controls and power outages); I5 at the Grapevine (the high point between here and Los Angeles) closed due to snow as of reporting on the morning of the 30th.
