Newark.

A day trip to Newark to meet a pal for a walk. She lives in Doncaster and me, as you know, near Loughborough and Newark is a convenient 40 mins for each of us. A1 for her and A46 for me. 

It's a really lovely and pretty town with a nice riverside walk along the Trent, which we did. Unreasonably warm for the time of the year and we'd both over-catered in the clothing department. 

However, I couldn't come to somewhere so picturesque without finding a Grot Spot in homage to Mr JoP's series, so it's in the extra, but don't look if you want to spoil the illusion.
