Getting to the root of the problem

We had a blocked drain yesterday, probably exacerbated by recent heavy rain and not very pleasant. Fortunately, two jolly fellows from the Drain Detectives came and dealt with it with some very impressive high-pressure water jetting. This matted root system, that they retrieved from one of the manholes, appears to have been the cause but we will be getting the firm back to do a fuller clean through and relining of the original pitch fibre pipe.
