Time to wake up.

Rich and I went for a walk along the Water of Leith (again) at lunch time. It was quite cold but in the sunshine it was wonderful. We were not the only ones enjoying the warmth of the sun, we spotted this butterfly on a patch of ivy enjoying the sun.

I had a look on Google and believe it is a Comma (Polygonia c-album) butterfly, they were once extinct in Scotland but have come back. A butterfly that is bucking the trend and doing well.

It was a lovely thing to see and I will keep an eye out for them in future. Press L to see it big.
