Hamming It Up!

The Spanish love their jamón and no wonder . . . at least if you are a meat eater . . . this newly-discovered shop around the block has clearly done great business with many of the best cuts from around the country.  I've never seen so many in one place so pared to the bone, each mini slice carefully cut off with special fine-bladed long knives.   We already had some in the house, so went for Iberian lacón, cooked ham, pastrami, locally-cured smoked salmon and blinis. Now on the terrace of Café Europa on Diagonal watching the locals gear up for their full on NYE dinners . . . in extras.  We will be on our roof terrace for the bells.
