Cold Oxford
J had a day off today so we went to the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford. We utilised the Park and Ride which proved to be the highlight of the day. Sadly the weather was so cold it snowed windy ice into our faces on and off all day and the museum was undergoing maintenance so it felt a bit disorganised. Shame as I thought we were a family that really loved museums. I tried not to moan as we looked at the 300th arrow head, and walked past the dinosaur bones that were all packed up and wrapped in bubble wrap, but L couldnt help crying "mummy Im just so bored". To be fair she couldnt reach most of the display tables, and the security man said she wasnt allowed to eat her brioche. ;-)
We warmed up in Pret a Manger with hot chocolate and a gingerbread man and enjoyed the bus journey back to our car again.
Gotta love family days out ;-)
