Aaah, Vienna...

I went to see Ultravox play at the Camden Roundhouse, which is a fantastic building - great Victorian architecture. It's a great venue as it's small enough to see the stage and performers clearly, and F and I were standing at the back, with no one behind us and a clear view in front of us. Ultravox were brilliant, and the crowd was buzzing - such an atmosphere makes a stupendously good gig. Surprisingly, we thought, the band played their biggest hit in the middle of their set, but I think it was wise because it got the whole crowd clapping and singing, and the following, more obscure songs were well received afterwards. They played all my favourite songs, ending with The Voice (the video shows the band playing live in the 80s).

Hooray for the 'vox!
