Queen Ann Lace

I've these in abundance in the garden, seeded from last summer and the likelihood they'll be here next summer too.  Pretty things, I've overexposed along with nothing in focus.
We did the circuit this morning, took much longer than expected but had a good catchup with our elderly neighbour, he will be 93 in a couple of weeks, and just before Christmas he had to put his wife (of similar age) into aged care.  He is coping but finds it really quiet. 
This afternoon a visit from oldTimer, helped to sort out a few things with her.

I meant to mention yesterday, or was it the day before (everyday seems to merge into the next).  Anyrate, back to the point.
Omicron has arrived !!  An English DJ (called Dimension) has been in MIQ and had three negative tests before testing positive, the result of a day 9 test, but was required to self isolate at a 'home' for a further three days, and wait for the result before going into the community.   He didn't and made himself very much at home around Auckland, visiting a shopping precinct, bar, cafes, nightclub and generally out and about.  To put it mildly our Covid Minister Chris Hipkins is far from impressed as are much of the country.  Selfish man, he was to headline the Rhythm & Alps music festival in the Cardronna Valley (near Wanaka).  Apparently, he is devastated what potentially he may have done to our country.
