The waves were big and coming in fast and rushing right up the beach.
SSW/W wind gusting to 45mph.
For the first time in ages we walked along the path which is just behind the top of the dunes. We did come down onto the beach at the far end where we could stand for a while before a wave would rush in and chase us into the grasses with ankle deep foam leading the way. In one or two places at the sand bank at the far end the sea was running right over and running down into the river at the back of the beach.
Bright and sunny ... and really mild !
