Fog and lichen

The first day of the year started with fog, I find that quite symbolic as we don't know what lies ahead of us this year, but we hope for the best and feel sure that eventually the fog will clear and reveal the landacape. Before packing our things and leaving bella Tuscany I took my camera to my in law's olive grove to look for some lichen on the old olive trunks for todays blip. The lichen is an extremely slow growing organism, reminding us of the fact that good things come slowly, building up one nanometer at a time. So, whatever difficulties you are going through or whichever hopes you bear and whichever project you have for the future, remember that the fog will clear and that good things happen slowly.
