Ants in your plants

Quite mild today, though breezy. Rain is never far away so I do hope that the year improves and we get a bit of sunshine!

This morning we drove up to Fearnoch Forest, beyond Taynuilt, a mixed woodland with both forestry plantations and native woodland. It's a popular place for walking and cycling with marked trails, information boards and rushing rivers. We didn't see a lot of wildlife apart from birds, but one of the notable things about the forest is its anthills, big piles of conifer needles piled up against the trees. No sign of ants today though - I don't blame them for staying indoors.

Quite a few people out and about and a lot of Happy New Year wishing!

Back home for another game of Wingspan!
