So, our little venture out to the Creek was a real experience. It was good to do it in my home city, in that, we travelled in our car (with all its contents) to travel to it. It was also much warmer than the UK. I should record here for posterity that the UK had their mildest NYE on record - 16degC. It would have been nice if we had that temperature on the one NYE that I spent out in London.

My main image is of the fireworks that went off right where we were parked! We were so close it was hard to get them all in one frame. It took a while to get out of the car park, and less than ten minutes into 2022, a fight broke out right in front of our car (eye roll). We opened a bottle of Prosecco and finished it before flopping into bed!

No early start then. The main thing this morning was to check Catherine in for her flight and associated documentation. Surprise - we've had more rain! Woo hoo! We went out for a drive, to fill the car (petrol prices have come down). G got a shot of the sign over the highway that tickles her. We had to avoid a few "ponds".

I'm glad 2021 is over. I am sure we are hoping 2022 will be much better for us all.
