Happy New Year

Some sunshine to start the new year, so we popped over to RHS Wisley for a walk around the gardens and a coffee. The queues for the two coffee places we looked at were very long so we ended up going to the coffee place outside the entrance, getting a takeaway, and then taking it back inside again. Lovely to sit out in the sunshine with a piece of Christmas cake we'd taken (nearly the last of it) and the coffee.

We walked past a bird hide that we'd never noticed before so we stopped to watch the flock of tits (blue, great and coal) that were constantly flying and feeding. Very entertaining. As I had my big camera with me, I managed to get a close up of them but there wasn't really enough light to get a fast enough shutter speed to really freeze the action.

A good start to the year - where will it go from here?
