In with the New

Having closed out the old year with snowdrops, here's the first of the Spring crocuses, Crocus danfordiae, with the smallest of flowers.   Grown under cold glass, a spark of midwinter brightness.   Although hardy enough for the garden, this frail beauty would quickly be annihilated by the wild coastal weather .... and the slugs!

Still waiting for my PCR result.   Another restful recovery day.   Still sore and tired but definitely over the worst.
