Happy Christmas!

She came into my bed at 530, delighted she’d lasted until our agreed “please try for 630 getting up”. Neither of us had realised her clock was still on summer time! But we enjoyed a snuggle. We made tea and settled down to a happy time of gift opening. Like last year, she wouldn’t open a present herself until she’d given me one of mine.

Bacon sandwiches for breakfast, as per family Christmas tradition - our recent Christmas tradition of our own has been pancakes but she decided to revert back to bacon!

I had a snooze while she played. She got dressed, did some practice then it was time for her to head out. Steph and David took her to the beach where they made sand art. When they’d finished, they dropped katie at Bs. They had lunch, they decorated their tree, swapped gifts, chatted, crafted, made waffles. They had a great time before they walked home to deliver katie and some gifts for me.

Katie and I had Christmas dinner together tonight, though instead of sitting nicely we sat at the coffee table watching a crappy Christmas movie! Katie doesn’t like Christmas pudding so I made festive colours, 2 layer jelly with Christmas biscuits and sprinkles. Much more katie friendly!

A couple of extras today…
