Short eared owl

A member of the photographic society to which I now belong, posted a photo of an owl which was superb. Late this afternoon we went to the same location for a walk hoping to see an owl. Obviously, I hoped to get a stunning shot!
We did actually see this owl but my lens, and skills were not quite up to the job. This was the best shot, very highly cropped as it was a long way away. However, I think that it does look like an owl at least:-)
