Danger noodle

This was yesterday.

Just finished at the gym when a text message from the lad informed us of a snake in the house. O_O home we headed very fast.

The kids had done everything right to ensure that they and Sully were safe if it was a venomous snake - which they discovered after some prompting to do a web search it was not - and contacted us immediately. But still…

Surprising amount of strength it had, as I was hooking it with my jo staff to pull it towards the open door. It eventually realised said door was open, and headed out.

We’re pretty sure Sullivan brought it in. Probably thought at first that it was one of his beloved skinks… others have suggested it might have made its own way in the cat door; I can’t see that being plausible, let alone likely. There’s nothing to entice it up the stairs onto our deck, towards the one of the doors that has the cat door (and doesn’t show any substantial space behind it, in contrast to the other doors) and then up a bit to the specific part of the glass door that contains the flap, and then deliberately press against it (as it is held shut by a reasonably good magnet, so wouldn’t just fall open). If we were in the concrete jungle or desperate weather, perhaps, but as it is, our section is full of food, water, and shade for it, so there’s nothing I can see that could spur it towards the house.

Anyway… not the point I suppose. It was in, now it’s not. ;)
