My precious heart

Late to bed, a couple of rum n cokes, a few tears, equalled a fuzzy new years day kind of head…….coupled with my light Covid symptoms, saw me surface not long before 10am lol

Went downstairs, first drink was water, followed by a lemsip, then my porridge, without any fruit, as I’ve run out, and lastly a mug of tea.

Caught up with daughter and youngest son, who is still feeling under the weather, he thinks it’s a migraine, rather than headache/Covid related….. I sat around in my pjs, chatted to sis and a couple of friends, then one of my neighbours knocked on and asked me if I’d like them to get me a Costa whilst they are out…. well, how kind is that, said yes please and thank you!

That perked me up, jumped in the shower, sorted my hair, added a bit of colour to my grey looking face lol, next I hoovered through downstairs, washed the pots, then my coffee arrived…… had a long distance chat from the bottom of the drive…. turns out that in addition to me, another 3 households in our 8 also have infections!!

Haven’t done a lot else today if I’m honest, tried not too each too much, skipped lunch, wasn’t hungry until 4, Bowl of soup and a chicken salad & coleslaw filled pitta. Watched some football, enjoyed the first episode of The Tourist…….had a little jacket potato with the remains of the bolognesefor a lite supper…. Late now so should get to bed, first day done!
