Didn't know enough to get out of the rain.
This little nuthatch must not have realized that there was a hole, just his size, right behind him. (Same spot that the chickadee, from the other day, was napping.) I felt a little sorry for Mr. Nuthatch, as it was raining snowing slushing pretty hard out there. I had my camera covered, but not my head. So I actually know how he felt... wet, cold and kind of slimy. Maybe it was me that didn't know enough to get out of the rain!
The day started out so sunny but I got busy with other things and didn't get a blip. Once I was ready to get some images the clouds rolled in. Almost like I made it happen by picking up my camera... I got shots of several different things and ended up with few so so images. But, once they were up on the computer, I just kept coming back to this little wet bird. FYI the foggy green in the foreground is another pine branch that is out of focus... I find it distracting (especially across the birds rump), but I couldn't get a better angle before he flew away. Still, the best shot of the day, so I guess it's the blip winner.
SLUSHIER... I'm makin' up words now. ;)
We have a few more green sprouts popping up along the hill to the lake (Day Lilies I think). Hope they survive the snow we are supposed to get tonight!
