Too many hyphens?

I think of the Black-faced Cuckoo-Shrike as a polite and unassuming member of the bird family. It's widespread in Australia, but never in large numbers. Its call is a soft and melodious churring sound.

Wikipedia says that it is not closely related to either the cuckoos or the shrikes; its name probably comes from its grey colour. Really, guys! Is that the best you can do? Surely this lovely little bird deserves a more attractive name, with fewer hyphens. Wikipedia drops the second hyphen, and calls it Cuckooshrike. I'm not impressed.

The photo was taken today in the nearby Lake Ainsworth heathland. The bird is perched in a pine tree, probably the introduced and widespread Pinus radiata.
