Fantail visitor

My Air BnB guests (who have been sooooooo quiet!) left this morning.......a young couple who are considering moving to Nelson and wanted a chance to have a look around and get a 'feel' for the area.  From all accounts they've enjoyed their stay and are moving on to another AirBnB in town for a look from a different persepctive.  A lovely young couple who are on the cusp of their 'next stage'.  Wonderful :D

The rest of the day was spent doing mostly laundry and catching up on a few things that needed catching up on.......like a bit of weed pulling.  Nothing too strenuous as it's been another stinky hot day and anything involving movement immediately brought on a sweat.  Almost every window in the house has been wide open all day which has made things more tolerable.  If this weather persists then my van trip will be potetially quite uncomfortable.

In the evening I heard this fantail flitting around outside and was quick enough to capture him enjoying a little tree and bush exploration.  I don't know whether he's a youngster/this season's but he did seem very curious and very friendly.

In COVID news, there have been 105 new community cases over the last 2 days; there are 43 people in hospital and 5 in ICU.  Sadly, 2 lives were lost to COVID over the past 48 hours.
