Leaves on the line (new variant)
Patiently, waiting for the train... wondering when it might arrive... looking forward to going out, travelling, seeing places and people... aspirations on hold while the leaves on the line grow into small trees.
Perhaps because we haven't yet had a winter, it feels as if the old year has yet to leave the station, and the new yet to arrive. The weather continues to be unprecedented, and the human world continues to avoid looking up...
It's not often you see a railway line with the original wooden sleepers any more. This line, at Sharpness docks in Gloucestershire, is defined with luck to be part of a recreational and tourist line. The Vale of Berkeley line.
