New Year's

We spent New Years Eve at home, in pajamas, and had a lovely outside fire before an early night. We lit sparklers, and I used a couple of the 'magic fire' which makes bright colours for a while, and that was fun.

Water pouring through the kitchen ceiling wasn't a gret addition to the afternoon earlier in the day, but fortunately we were in the next room and heard it quickly so could turn off the water straight away. The pipe we thought was fixed seems not to be sadly.

Having no running hot water or heating could feel like a real downer, but we're pretending it's like we're camping and that way I don't mind so much. Being New Years the earliest appt for the plumber isn't til after the weekend, so indoor camping for the weekend it shall have to be.
