Light

Light.
There was always light.
First the light from outside our Earth, the sun, moon, and stars. Then the light of the storm. All uncontrollable. Still!
Then the first controllable light: Fire.
Fire can be controlled and provided light where no sun, moon, star, or thunder could reach.
Therefore very simply the first light source: fire.
