Ripley, North Yorkshire

Went across to Ripley expecting to have a walk around the castle grounds. Arrived to find the castle and grounds were closed for the foreseeable future due to maintenance.
I think the recent storms may have done some damage.
Got a coffee in the cafe and drank it in the churchyard and then followed the path which skirts the perimeter walls towards Bedlam and back to Ripley. The last mile or so followed the road and to add insult to injury I got a right soaking as I neared the end of the walk.
Saw lots of deer but unfortunately, they were too far away to get a good photo. Really enjoyed my afternoon.
