A CLASSIC READ

According to sources . . . not a saucey read. Originally produced by the Amex Corporation in the 1940-1956. the artwork is described as having a very stylish red and black with a stiff card cover.
Later, Baird Books reproduced them in black and white with new cover artwork, using a softer cover and re-titled the series Famous Stories in Pictures. Strangely, this red and white version has a soft cover. Interesting my dear Holmes . . .
