Great White Egret #2

Our first trip out this year was to RSPB Burton Mere. It was a bit dull and damp, with the occasional shower, but we had a good 3 hours. We managed to see a total of 47 birds, which I thought was quite good. The best sighting was undoubtedly this Great White Egret which was on the pool in front of the bunker hide and kept hopping around in search of food. We watched for a while and he was unsuccessful, but when it started raining again we headed for the car, but not before catching the egret with a fish in his beak as we reached the visitor centre.  I didn't manage to blip a Great White Egret last year(although we did see them occasionally) so I was especially pleased to be able to add this one so soon.
