Garbure

We had one last shout before the little bubble between Christmas and new year popped.
The garbure took an age to prepare and bubbled over the embers until the last minute.
The children sang the Rocky road to Dublin and the Belle of the County Down, the mill floors creaked to their dancing and the Ariege linked arms with Eire.
They did wheel barrow races until the tree was knocked over and the dogs were worked up into a frenzy.
